When is the best time to post to social media?
It's the question of the ages. We've seen hundreds of different answers to this question, ranging from specific times of the day and days of the week, but truth be told, these are all largely guesses.
Why? Because the best time to post to social media is different for every audience.
The best time to post to social media largely depends on your brand's historical performance and audience as a whole. Each audience is online at different times as people are dispersed throughout the world.
For example, if your audience is mostly New York-based, they'll be online at different times than if they're based in Sydney, Australia.
However, this doesn't mean you should post at random times and hope for the best. At Fanbooster by Traject, we provide you the best time to post -- using the data taken from your own brand.
Look at historical engagement
An important factor in scheduling your posts is looking at when your posts have been engaged with in the past. This gives you a good indication of when your posts have been liked, shared, and commented on in the past, so you can replicate good results.
Fanbooster by Traject makes this easier than ever with our Optimization Report.
To access this, go to Reports > Cross-Channel > Optimization:
At the top of the Optimization screen, you'll see what days of the week your posts have been most engaged with. Click on any of the days of the week to see which hours of the day your posts have been most engaged on that day of the week.
The second graph shows you what hours of the day your posts have been most engaged with.
Use this historical data to find the best times of the week and times of day to post your content. Fanbooster by Traject uses your last 3 months of social media engagement data to find these days and hours to post. Once you have this information, you can now create a posting schedule and ensure maximized engagement with your audience!
