As a reminder:
- Direct scheduling with Instagram means you can schedule your Instagram posts ahead of time. Fanbooster will post your pre-planned Instagram content for you at your specified time. Direct scheduling is only available for Instagram Business profiles.
- Indirect scheduling with Instagram means you can plan and create your post in advance, save it on Fanbooster, and have Fanbooster send you an in-app, email, or text/SMS alert during a pre-planned time to post your content to Instagram.

How to schedule directly through Instagram Business:
Direct posting for Instagram Business is quite straightforward and similar to how you schedule posts to other networks.
1. Click the Composer Window to manually schedule a post
2. Add the image and text
3. Select the Instagram Business profile and choose "Direct Posting"
4. The post then gets published directly to the Instagram Business Profile!
Please note that Instagram currently limits direct scheduling to single photo and video posts only. If you want to schedule a carousel post (i.e., a post with multiple images and/or videos), you will need to use the indirect scheduling method described below.
How to schedule posts indirectly (for Instagram Personal Profiles):
When you send or schedule your Instagram personal posts from Fanbooster, a notification when it is time to post is sent to your mobile phone from which you can easily publish the post via the Instagram App. For the best experience, make sure you have the Instagram and the latest version of the Fanbooster app installed on your mobile device.
Schedule Notification Options
1. Via Fanbooster App
Select the phone model that you want to use to post:
When it is time to post you will receive a notification and the Fanbooster App will open with the post you want to publish.
Select Instagram and a pop-up prompt to open the Instagram appears, click "Open in Instagram"
The image opens in the Instagram app and you know have the option to post to Stories or your Feed:
2. Via SMS or Text Message
You can send the notification via SMS which includes a link to download the media.
1. Make sure the you have your mobile phone verified for notification purposes:
2. Create the post and select the mobile phone of the user who needs to receive the notification:
3. Once the post is ready for publishing, the user will receive an SMS notification similar to this:
4. Click to open the link in the text message. This will open a webpage with your post information. Check to make sure your information is correct.
5. Click "Copy Caption to Clipboard" and click to hold the image to save it your album:
6. Once you have the text copied and image saved, open your Instagram app and publish the post to your feed!

3. Via Email
You may also send a notification to post to your email which includes the media as an attachment that you can download and post.
When you go to publish the post, email addresses belonging to all users will now appear along with any devices connected to your project. Simply select the appropriate email address (it will show the name of the user that uses the email address), a notification will be sent, and the user can download the image in that email to publish directly to Instagram on their mobile device.
3. Once the post is ready for publishing, the user will receive an email notification similar to this:
4. Click to open the email and check to make sure your information is correct.
5. Copy the caption and click to hold the image to save it your album:
6. Once you have the text copied and image saved, open your Instagram app and publish the post to your feed!
